Long Bio

I am an author, educator and award-winning poet. I hold an MFA in Writing for Young People (Lesley University, 2018) and a MA in English (The Bread Loaf School of English, Middlebury College, 2023). I write picture books, middle grade, and young adult fiction, drawing from my experiences as a neurodivergent person, kindergarten teacher, outdoor educator, and after-school director. My stories often feature SEL themes, neurodivergent characters, and girls playing sports. I aim to empower young people by offering mirrors, windows, and doors into relatable adventures.

I’m currently seeking representation for my picture books. I'm an active member of SCBWI, Julie Hedlund’s 12x12 Challenge, and Peter Reynolds’ bookstore-supported writing group, The Dedham Writers’ Cafe. I participate in #PBparty, #50preciouswords, and other children's literature events and I serve on the board of Cambridge Common Writers (Lesley University MFA’s Alumni organization).

My writing outside the Kidlit space includes poetry with themes of motherhood, spirituality and education. I am looking for a home for my full-length poetry manuscript, HOW I BECAME A MOTHER.

I'm based in New England, where I can often be found hiking with my family. I enjoy reading stories that inspire wild imaginings and inventing show-tunes about pancakes to entertain my kids while cooking before 8 a.m.
